Forecast Audit Log

1 min read

The Forecast Audit Log provides a history of forecast changes, allowing authorized users to review what changed, when the change occurred, and who made the update. It supports accountability, collaboration, and historical analysis throughout the forecasting process.

Overview #

Forecasts often change as new business information becomes available. Customer commitments, promotions, market conditions, and planner decisions can all result in forecast revisions.

The Forecast Audit Log provides visibility into these changes by maintaining a record of forecast activity. Rather than wondering why a forecast value changed, planners can review the audit history to better understand when changes were made and support discussions during the planning process.

Maintaining an audit history also improves accountability by providing transparency into forecast modifications over time.

Before You Begin #

Before reviewing the Forecast Audit Log:

  • Ensure you have permission to access forecast history.
  • Identify the product, account, or planning period you wish to review.
  • Understand the planning period or forecast values you are investigating.

  1. Open the forecast you wish to review.
  2. Access the Forecast Audit Log.
  3. Review the recorded forecast changes.
  4. Identify the changes relevant to your investigation.
  5. Return to the Forecast Editor if additional forecast adjustments are required.
